Bullying, Harassment & Discrimination Policy

Bullying, harassment or discrimination of any kind is not acceptable in a healthy and safe working environment. It is critical that your employees know your behavioural expectations but also what to do if they ever experience bullying, harassment or discrimination. This policy sets out expectations regarding employee behaviour, provides relevant definitions and what processes are in place regarding the raising of concerns of bullying, harassment and discrimination in the workplace, and how such concerns can be resolved. This policy not only reflects your obligations under relevant legislation (for example, the Employment Relations Act 2000, the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, the Human Rights Act 1993), it also incorporates learnings from case law and best practice considerations from an HR perspective. This is a must have policy for every business – regardless of size!
